JPII participated in the 5th International Workshop for Leadership and Stability (IWLS), which was held at the National Defence University in Islamabad, Pakistan.
The IWLS serves as a platform for gaining a multidimensional understanding of security issues in South Asia and the Middle East, bringing together experts from the military, academic, and business sectors. The workshop welcomed participants from 46 countries, and JPII was honored to be invited as the only participant representing Japan.
During the workshop, experts delivered presentations outlining the current situations and challenges related to seven key themes facing the international community, followed by active and in-depth discussions on each topic.
Highly significant global issues were addressed, including geopolitical perspectives on the Ukraine conflict and the Palestinian issue, as well as discussions on climate change and the use of artificial intelligence, highlighting the need for technological advancement and the establishment of international frameworks.

Through Participation in IWLS
JPII provides wide-ranging support aimed at the development of both Japan and Pakistan. Through participation in this international conference, JPII has gained a deeper understanding of the challenges facing South Asia and will continue to build meaningful networks with fellow participants. By fostering these connections, JPII remains committed to contributing to greater peace, stability, and sustainable development.
NIPPON CENTER PAKISTAN
JPII will establish NIPPON CENTER PAKISTAN (NCP)—the first JPII-led initiative of its kind in Pakistan in April 2025. NCP is designed to address the chronic labor shortages faced by Japanese companies by providing Pakistani professionals with not only Japanese language education, but also the soft skills necessary for living and working in Japan, enabling effective talent placement.
To ensure high-quality and efficient training, NCP collaborates with multiple technical universities and vocational training institutes across Pakistan.
